So I was at a meeting today at the Matthew's house. I brought a friend, so we sat around the table and I was able to hear everyone's health stories again. I had heard the two minute versions but today I got to hear more detail!
One lady was talking about how she just deals with her kids better on the products. She said she is so much less stressed, doesn't yell at them, etc. One mom said she used to snap at the slightest thing. I was starting to get like that with Madeleine!! She has been really frustrating lately. She is totally entering the terrible twos and defying me all the time. If I tell her not to do something, she immediately does it. If I tell her to come here, she runs the other way laughing her fool head off. She throws fits when I ask her to do the smallest thing. (These reasons are why I'm ordering the kids product for her this month, but that's another post.)
Anyway, I realized that I have not yelled at her for the week and a half I have been taking this stuff! I am so much more calm around her. I don't get frustrated. Just last night Ken was getting a little frustrated with her on our walk home from the playground, because she was taking forever and stopping all the time. I said, "She's just doing normal two year old things - nothing to get frustrated about." This is such a change in me. Just this alone makes it worth it to me.
Also, I used to dread getting up in the middle of the night to nurse - actually just getting up in the middle of the night to do anything. Now it is no big deal and I don't mind at all. I still feel refreshed in the morning and even when I wake up at night.
Stay tuned, some of my friends are going to write out their health stories for me and I'll post them soon!

Nicole's one week check in
Remember my friend Nicole from a few posts back? Here's her one week update. She's getting some great results!!
I have noticed some differences since taking the shakes.
I have always been real sensitive to cold and lately I have felt an overall warmness. My feet are still cold at night, but I do notice them being more warm at times. My husband even commented the other night that I felt very warm! Which is great because usually my skin is very cold and I feel cold chills running through me. The only thing that warms me is to sit in the hot car with the heat on, even if it is 80 degrees outside. I have been turning the air conditioner on in my car and I never do that!!!
I haven't had a headache since starting the shakes and I usually notice a lot of headaches in my post ovulatory phase.
The past few days I have been POPPING out of bed. Usually I drag myself out of bed.
I am still feeling a sense of dizziness, but I do believe that the brain fog is not as dense as it used to be. I want to say that the brain fog is only 1/4 of what it used to be. It definately clears up in the afternoon when I am getting a long burst of energy from Noon til bedtime. So much of an improvement because that is when I would usually crash and be out til morning.
Usually in the afternoon about 1pm I am unable to work through the brain fog anymore that I lay on the couch until dinner time. I am noticing that at 1pm my energy is stable and couldn't lay down if I tried.
I used to have mild sugar cravings and I haven't eaten ice cream or anything sweet in the last few days. Not because it wasn't available, but because I really have NO desire for them. I used to eat sugar in hopes that it would make me feel better because the brain fog used to hurt so bad.
I took my niece to the zoo the other day. It was so hot and we were at the zoo for about 4 hours. I got home and cleaned the house, did 3 loads of laundry and made dinner. If anyone knows me they know that I can barely peel me off the couch, especially in the afternoon.
On Saturday night, I slept for 12 hours and since then I have slept for a good solid 8 hours. I normally sleep for 10 hours a night and still unable to wake up refreshed. I have been waking refreshed. A few mornings ago when I woke up at 430 am I was having a hard time falling back to sleep. I had a sense of energy running through me. It wasn't a caffeine shakey high, it was as if I felt my blood cells being refreshed and I ended up just waking up because I had energy to get out of bed..
I am feeling more of an ease through my day and not so much of a dragging to do every little chore.
I can't wait to see how I feel after one month on the shakes!

One week check in
My sponsor checked in with me yesterday to see how I'm doing after a week on the products. We went over my health survey and here's what's happened.
I thought my mental clarity, focus, and concentration has improved by about 50%. In one week I'd say that's pretty good! I think I've totally eliminated my cold feet at night, which is a circulation problem. I have not noticed that at all. Sugar cravings seem to be the same. Stress is about the same but was not high to begin with. The best thing is that my energy level is way up! I have a 7 week old baby and I do not feel tired AT ALL. Granted, he is a good sleeper - usually only getting up once/night. (I know! God had mercy on me after the last kid!) But I have a lot of energy during the day and don't think I could take a nap if I tried. It's not a hyper kind of energy either like I'd get on caffeine, more like a "feel-good" kind of energy. If this keeps up I'll be thrilled.
I have decided to order the kid's product for my daughter when I place my order this month. She's a good eater normally but some days it seems like she hardly eats anything. With all the stories I've heard about how much kids have benefited from the kid's shake I'm going to try it for her. Maybe it'll help the terrible twos, which seem to be in full force over here.

Check out these stories!
I know it's 11 minutes, but really worth it to see what Reliv has done for these people's lives! Beth from Indiana (towards the middle of the video) is a friend of mine - I've known her for probably 15 or more years.

Energy
Well, definitely so far I've had a lot more energy. So has Ken (DH). He told me yesterday that he would sometimes take a quick nap in his car at lunchtime, but he's definitely noticed a change in his energy level at lunchtime. Now he says he couldn't fall asleep if he tried! I think that's great. And with the little sleep I'm getting these days, I should be exhausted but I really feel good. Someone even commented that I looked "bright eyed" this morning and said that boy must be giving you some sleep!
Also, I have noticed I am not as hungry as usual. And I'm feeling like eating healthier, although the iced coffee I'm drinking right now is tasting really good!

Guest Post
A friend of mind decided to try out reliv as well! Here is her post:
What I want reliv to do for me?
I suffer from chronic headaches, fogginess, and not having enough energy for my age. Pretty much since I can remember I have dealt with these three major symptoms.
It has gotten to a point where I know that these symptoms are not something I should have to deal with and they are also starting to affect my daily life routine.
I am a 30 year old woman, a stay at home wife, so my energy level does not match my easy going non-stressful life.
I am starting reliv to hopefully clear up these symptoms. I want to be able to see life clearly and not behind a hazey curtain that I view it now. I am hoping that reliv with give me the energy to live the excitement I feel about being alive! I just don't have the energy to live my life they way I desire.
I am very excited to track my progress!

Mental Clarity needed over here!
We're on our 4th day of shakes. I lost my keys last night and today found them IN THE WASHING MACHINE. Hm.
A few nights ago, my son was up every hour from about 1am to 6am. When I woke up I realized that I should be completely exhausted, but I felt totally normal. And I haven't felt like I needed a nap at all in the past few days. We've also been walking about an hour in the morning the past few mornings, and we're hoping to keep this up! I'm not sure if this is a detox symptom or not, but I was sweating like I've never sweated before after our walk today, and it was only 71 degrees! I HAD to take a shower when I got home, so I put my daughter in front of Dora the Explorer and my son was asleep in the carseat so I took a 30 second shower. After that I felt fabulous.
Stay tuned for our very first guest post, my friend who is starting the product tomorrow!
